HOWES ANNOUNCES 2024 SCRO EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Selects Parker, Moench, Kolla, and Weideli

For Immediate Release

Somerville, NJ–Somerset County Republican Chairman Tim Howes submitted his letter of intent to seek a third term as Chair, and announced his running mates on the “Unity 2024” ticket:

Megan Moench, 1st Vice Chair:  Megan owns and operates Dreaming Tree Consulting in Bridgewater, specializing in fundraising and event management.  She is the Chair of the Bridgewater Republican Municipal Committee.

Steve Parker, 2nd Vice Chair:  A former Air Force pilot, Steve is the CEO of Somerset Air Services.  He serves as the Chair of the Bedminster Republican Municipal Committee and the Chair of the Republican Municipal Chairs.  Before his service as Chair, Steve served three terms on the Bedminster Township Committee, including 6 years as Mayor.

Ravi Kolla, Secretary:  Ravi is a Senior Technology Architect at a Fortune 500 Company.  He resides in Franklin where he has served on the Executive Committee of the Franklin Republican Municipal Committee.  He is seeking his third term on the SCRO Executive Committee.

Jim Weideli, Treasurer:  Jim is the incumbent organizational treasurer.  He is seeking his first full term.  Jim has over ten years experience as treasurer for municipal, county and state candidates and political committees.  Jim owns and operates Weideli Associates, Inc.

As one of the foremost election law attorneys in NJ, Tim has fought voter fraud across NJ as counsel to NJGOP, Senate Republican Majority, Assembly Republican Victory, gubernatorial campaigns, and a presidential campaign. In his four years as Chairman, he has righted the ship and grown the Republican Party in Somerset County. Tim was elected unanimously in 2020 and reelected with 91% of the vote in 2022.

“I am extraordinarily proud of this strong team of qualified Republicans who have stepped up to serve on the SCRO Executive Board,” Howes said. “Each of these individuals is uniquely talented in his or her own way, and together, we will continue to grow the Republican Party in all corners of our county.

“In the last four years, we have flipped blue seats red in 10 towns, elected a Republican Congressman, and Somerset County’s voter registration is now trending Republican for the first time in over a decade. We will expand on that success in 2024 when we re-elect our Congressman Tom Kean, elect Curtis Bashaw to the U.S. Senate, and elect our hardworking County Commissioner candidates Nick Cuozzo and Rocky Ganta. We will continue to work on behalf of our entire Republican team.”
